Belgians in Holland
Belgians in Holland
After the fall of Antwerp in late 1914, thousands of Belgian soldiers ended up in neutral Holland. Around thirteen thousand men were brought to Harderwijk. Another nineteen thousand ended up near the city of Amersfoort. There they spent the remainder of the war; first in improvised lodgings, later in well organised internment camps. Discover their experiences in this collection.
